KVKK Compliant Camera Analytics — Edge Architecture, Data MinimisationKVKK compliant industrial camera analytics: Edge architecture, no raw video storage, face recognition disabled. Event and metric focused. Hype Vision Bilişim Vadisi, Gebze.
The Hype Vision platform places the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK (Turkish GDPR)) requirements at the core of its architectural design. Raw video is not stored unless absolutely necessary; artificial intelligence processes the image on the Edge server and only interpreted outputs (events, alarms, metrics, evidence frames) are recorded. Face recognition is disabled by default. The Edge-first approach developed in Bilişim Vadisi, Gebze enables KVKK compliant AI monitoring in industrial facilities. Data minimisation, purpose limitation, and Edge-first processing form the technical foundation for KVKK compliance; raw video is not stored by default.

Why is KVKK critical for industrial AI?
Camera analytics in industrial facilities process images of personnel; this is subject to the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK (Turkish GDPR)). Archiving raw video, face recognition, and data transfer outside the facility pose risks under KVKK. Hype Vision minimises these risks through architectural design: data minimisation, purpose limitation, and Edge processing principles are fundamental to the platform.
Law No. 6698 (KVKK) mandates that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and proportionately. Instead of storing raw video, Hype Vision generates events and metrics; the purpose of personal data processing is limited to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) inspection, quality control, and productivity measurement.
Hype Vision assumes the role of data controller or processor as per the client contract. The disclosure notice, explicit consent, and data retention period are defined within the project scope.
A data processing agreement (DPA) is prepared for each project under Law No. 6698.
As data controller, we provide our clients with a KVKK compliance checklist and technical documentation.
Edge architecture and data minimisation
In Edge architecture, footage is processed on a server or GPU unit within the facility; after analysis, the raw video stream is discarded. Only interpreted JSON/event data exits the facility. This approach complies with KVKK's data minimisation principle.
Evidence frames (snapshots) are only recorded at the moment of a violation or event; continuous recording is not performed. Retention periods are defined in the contract (e.g., 30–90 days); data is automatically deleted after this period.
The same principles apply in cloud or hybrid architectures. Data transmitted to the cloud is encrypted; access is restricted by role-based permissions. Data location (Turkey/EU) is determined according to client preference.
The retention period for evidence frames is specified in the contract; automatic deletion is enforced.
As data controller, we provide our clients with a KVKK compliance checklist and technical documentation.
Face recognition and identity detection
Hype Vision does not use face recognition by default. Helmet detection focuses on equipment absence, personnel productivity on anonymised metrics, and restricted area modules on zone violations. Individual identity detection is not included in the platform’s standard modules.
Upon special request (e.g., integration with access control), a face recognition module may be deployed under a separate contract and with an explicit consent process. This scenario fully complies with KVKK disclosure and consent requirements.
Pose estimation and motion analysis do not identify individuals; they only classify body posture and activity. This presents a lower risk profile under KVKK.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) enables role-based access; an audit trail is maintained.
As data controller, we provide our clients with a KVKK compliance checklist and technical documentation.
Security, access, and audit
Platform access is managed through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Each user has access only to authorised facilities, zones, and modules. Access logs are maintained, creating an audit trail.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. API communication is secured with TLS/HTTPS; disk encryption uses AES. Penetration testing and security assessments can be offered for enterprise projects.
In case of a data breach, notification procedures are defined within the contract. Hype Vision implements data security measures in accordance with KVKK Article 12.
Cloud data location is determined by client preference (Turkey/EU).
As data controller, we provide our clients with a KVKK compliance checklist and technical documentation.
Contracts, pilot projects and consulting — demo and contact
For each project, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and KVKK compliance checklist are prepared. The client’s responsibilities as data controller are addressed as part of consulting services.
You can test your KVKK-compliant architecture risk-free with a 30-day pilot package. At the pilot’s conclusion, a data flow diagram and compliance report are provided.
The Hype Vision team in Bilişim Vadisi (Gebze) organises KVKK consulting and technical discovery meetings. Contact us for demos and enquiries.

Since 2020, Hype Vision, based in Bilişim Vadisi (Gebze), has completed dozens of industrial AI and image processing field projects. The KVKK-compliant camera analytics module is not a standalone product; the entire suite of OHS, quality, productivity, and security modules operates on the same RTSP/ONVIF camera infrastructure via modular licenses. Connect your existing Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, or other IP cameras to the AI layer without purchasing new cameras.
The Edge-first architecture ensures technical KVKK compliance: raw video is not stored by default, face recognition is disabled, and only events and metrics are recorded. Alarm latency ranges between 100–300 ms; offline operation is supported so analysis continues even if the internet connection is lost. Integration with ERP, SAP, MES, WMS, and BI tools is possible via REST API.
With a modular licensing model, you only pay for the functions you use. The 30-day pilot package, discovery meeting, and post-installation training are standard services. Request a demo via contact form or phone; expect a response from our Bilişim Vadisi, Gebze team within 24 hours.
To evaluate the Hype Vision KVKK compliant camera analytics solution risk-free, request a 30-day pilot package or a free discovery meeting. Live demos are available at our office in the Hightech Building at Bilişim Vadisi, Gebze; RTSP/ONVIF compatibility assessment can be conducted remotely via video meeting. Simply send your existing IP camera brand/model list to info@hypevisionlab.com.
During the discovery process, your site layout, camera angles, lighting conditions, and operational flows will be analysed. Architectural recommendations (Edge, Cloud, or hybrid), module selection, and installation schedule are clarified. At pilot completion, accuracy reports, false positive/negative analyses, and ROI projections are provided; no obligation if unsatisfied.
For demo and discovery meetings, please use the contact form, phone (+90 541 260 91 90), or email. Leverage our industrial AI experience since 2020 by connecting your existing cameras to the AI layer; consolidate OHS, quality, and productivity metrics on a single panel without new camera investments.
Hype Vision serves industrial facilities across Turkey from its Bilişim Vadisi, Gebze headquarters.
